General Half Yearly Meeting. Tonnage since 1 April £1472 15s 11d. After wages, etc, profit £715 11s 5d. Dividend of £3 10s declared.
From the Stonehouse & Nailsworth Railway Company’s Judgement Debt there remains £208.0s.6d including half year’s interest.
Mr T M Croome appointed as Solicitor to the Company on the same terms as for the late Mr Kearsley.
Mr H H Mills elected onto the Committee in place of Mr Kearsey.
At a General Half-yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their office on Thursday the 28^th day of October 1880 @ 4,o,clock pm

The minutes of the Committee since the last General Meeting were approved and confirmed.
[1] It appears that the sum of £1472..15..11 has been received from the 1^st day of April 1880 to the 1^st day of October 1889 and a balance brought forward from last Half-year (after payment of Dividend) of £41..11.11 making a total of £1514..7..10 of which sum £708..16..5 has been applied towards the payment of Wages disbursements, etc, and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer the Sum of £715..11..5 available for dividend.
[13] Ordered that a dividend of £3..10.- on each share be declared payable on the 1^st day of November next free of Income tax, carrying forward a balance of £15..11.5 to next Half-years account.
The sum of £208..0..6 in the Treasurers hands stands to the Credit of the Stonehouse and Nailsworth Railway Co Judgement debt a/c being £204..10..6 balance in Bank on the 25^th day of March last, and £3..10,,- 1/2 years interest on same up to the 24^th day of June 1880.
[34] Resolved that Mr T M Croome be appointed Solicitor to the Company on the Same terms as the late Mr Kearsey held that position.
[9] Resolved that Mr H H Mills be elected as a member of the Committee in place of Mr Kearsey deceased.
