From the Stonehouse & Nailsworth Railway Company’s Judgement Debt there remains £211.0s.6d including half year’s interest.

At a General Half-yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 28^th day of April 1881 @ 4,o,clock pm
Chairman: G H A Beard.
The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Meeting were approved and confirmed.
[1] It appears that the sum of £1334..12..0 has been received from the 1^st day of October 1880 to the 1^st day of April 1881, and a balance brought forward of £15..11.1 from the last Half-year (after payment of Dividend) making a total of £1350..3..5 of which sum £941..15..11 has been applied towards the payment of Wages disbursements, etc, and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer the sum of £408..7..6 available for Dividend.
[13] Ordered that a Dividend of £2..0..0 on each share be declared payable on the 1^st day of May nest free of Income tax, carrying forward a balance of £8,,7,,6 to nest Half-years account.
The sum of £211..0..6 in the Treasurers hands stands to the Credit of the Stonehouse and Nailsworth Railway Cos Judgement debt a/c being £208..0..6 balance in Bank on the 24^th June 1880 and £3,,0,,0 1/2 years Interest to the 15^th December 1880.
Resolved that the following Gentlemen form the Committee for the year next following or until another Committee shall be appointed:
Mr G H A Beard, Mr E C Little, Mr C H Hooper, Mr T M Croome, Mr W H Marling, Mr E F Gyde, Mr J T Stanton, Major Fisher, Mr H H Mills, Mr Jno Howard.
