General Half Yearly Meeting. Tonnage since 1 April £1239 5s 5d. After wages, etc, profit £581 9s 8d. Dividend of £2 10s declared.
At a General Half-yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their office at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 21^st day of October 1884 @ 4,o,clock pm

The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Meeting were approved and confirmed.
[1] It appears that the sum of £1239..5..5 has been received from the 1^st day of April 1884 to the 1^st day of October 1884, and a balance brought forward from last Half-year (after payment of Dividend) of £107..7..10 making a total of £1346..13..3 of which £765..3..7 has been applied towards the payment of wages disbursements, etc (including the sum of £146..2..1 tonnage paid to the T&Severn Canal Co) and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer the Sum £581..9,,8 available for dividend.
Ordered that a Dividend of £2..10..0 on each share be declared payable on the 1^st day of November next free of Income Tax, carrying forward a balance of £81..9..8 to the next Half-years account.
The sum of £232..0..6 in the hands of the Treasurer stands to the C^r of the Stonehouse and Nailsworth Railway Companys "Judgement Debt a/c" in future to be called "Reserved Fund" being £229..0..6 in the Bank on the 25^th Devember 1883 and £3 being 1/2 yrs Interest to the 24^th day of June 1884.
