Summary

Committee approved the Chairman’s report that he had refused the application of Mr Buckler for his sons to bathe in the canal.
Various matters were discussed which did not require any special minutes as follows: a letter from Sir W H Marling in respect of the footbridge at Ryeford; the strips of land offered for sale, one of which this Company had bid for; the advertising for sale of a wharf at Lechlade belonging to the T&S Canal, but which had been withdrawn, and other matters.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 18^th day of August 1885 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, Mr H H Mills, Mr G H A Beard, Mr W Davies, Major Fisher, Mr Jno Howard, Mr A J M Ball.
[6] The Chairman reported Mr Bucklers application to him for permission for his sons to bathe in the Canal and his (the Chairman's) declining to give such permission of which the Committee fully approved.
[21 & 52] Various other matters were discussed, such as a letter from Sir W H Marling respecting the Footbridge at Ryeford - the strips of land that had been offered for sale there & for one of which this Co had made a bid under the advice of the Chairman - the advertising for sale of a wharf at Lechlade belonging to the Thames & Severn Canal Co but which sale had been withdrawn and other matters neither of which required and special minute.
