At a General Half-yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their office at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 20^th day of October 1885 @ 4,o,clock pm

The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Meeting were approved and confirmed.
[1] It appears that the sum of £1152,,13,,11 has been received from the 1^st day of April 1885 to the 1^st day of October 1885, and a balance brought forward from the last Half-year (after payment of Dividend) of £90..8..11 making a total of £1243..2..10 of which sum £697..1..5 has been applied towards payment of wates, disbursements, etc, (including the sum of £148..18..2 tonnage paid to the Thames & Severn Canal Co) and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer the sum of £546..1..5 available for Dividend.
Ordered that a Dividend of £2..10..- on each share be declared payable on the 2^nd day of November next free of Income Tax, carrying forward a balance of £46..1..5 to the next Half-years account.
The sum of £238..0..6 in the hands of the Treasurer stands to the Credit of the "Reserve Fund" being £235..0..6 balance in Bank on the 25^th Decr 1884 and £3 1/2yrs Interest to the 24^th day of June 1885.
