Summary

General Half Yearly Meeting. Tonnage from 1 April £1125 6s 7d. After wages, etc, profit £473 12s 8d. Dividend of £2 5s declared.
Permission was given to Mr W Walters of Stonehouse for a letter box to be placed in the wall of the premises occupied by Mr Charles Critchley near the Ship Inn.
Mr W Davies junior, Mr Fred Howard and Major Fisher re-elected as members of the Committee.

At a General Half-yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stonehouse Navigation held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 19^th day of October 1886 @ 3.30 pm.
At this Meeting Members will be chosen for supplying vacancies in the Committee.
Mr E C Little Chairman.
The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Meeting were approved and confirmed.
It appears that the sum of £1125..6..7 has been received from the 1^st day of April 1886 to the 1^st day of October 1886 and a balance brought forward from last 1/2 year (after payment of Dividend) of £9..15..9 making a total of £1135..2..4 of which sum £661..9..8 has been applied towards the payment of wages, disbursements, etc, (including a sum of £149..2..- proportion of tonnage paid to the Thames & Severn Canal Co) and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer the sum of £473..12..8 available for Dividend.
Ordered that a Dividend of £2..5..- on each share he declared payable on the 1^st day of November next free of Income Tax, carrying forward a balance of £23..12..8 to the next 1/2yrs account.
The sum of £243..10..6 in the hands of the Treasurer stands to the Credit of the "Reserve Fund" being £240..10..6 balance in the Bank on the 25^th December 1885 and £3 1/2 years Interest to the 24^th June 1886.
M^r Walters of Stonehouse having applied for leave (in case the Post Master General approved) that a wall letter box might be placed in the Wall of the Premises occupied by Mr Charles Critchley near the Ship Inn.
Permission was given to it.
