Summary

Chairman, Mr Hooper and Mr Hamilton Mills joined the deputation to the President of the Board of Trade with reference to the action of the Great Western Railway Co in connection with the T&S Canal and reported that its result was considered satisfactory with regard to the action the Board of Trade would probably take in any future legislation that might bear upon Railway and Canal traffic.
Clerk reported there was no place to deposit canal mud and landowners and occupiers objected to it being placed on their land. There was a suitable piece of land at Stonehouse belonging to the Stonehouse Court Estate near the main line of the Midland Railway. As Sir W H Marling, one of the Trustees of the property, was in favour it was agreed that the Chairman and Mr Hooper inspect the land.
Clerk to get the price of planting a piece of land near the Junction with withy sets.
Permission was given to the Stroud Local Board of Health to put manholes to the sewer passing through Wallbridge wharf.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 21^st day of December 1886 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, Mr H H Mills, Mr E P Little, Mr C H Hooper, Major Fisher, Mr W^m Davies junr, Sir W H Malring Bart (late), Mr Jno Howard.
The Chairman informed the Committee that he with Mr Hooper & Mr Hamiloton Mills had joined in the Deputation to the President of the Board of Trade with reference to the action of the Great Wester Rway Co in connection with the Thames & Severn Canal and reported what passed at the interview and its result which was considered satisfactory with regard to the action the Board of Trade would probably take in any future legislation that might bear upon Railway and Canal traffic.
The Clerk stated that there was no place to deposit the mud from the Canal and that Landowners and occupiers objected to its being placed on their land. He pointed out a suitable bit of ground for the purpose near the main line of the Midland Railway at Stonehouse belonging to the Stonehouse Court Estate, and Sir W H Marling one of the Trusteee of the Property having favourably received the suggestion it was left to the Chairman & Mr Hooper to inspect the same.
It was ordered that the Rev^d Teesdale be charged with teh wages of the men employed in the freighted of ashes to Whitminster amounting to £3..18..6 and 12/6 for tonnage, but that no charge should be made for the use of the Company Boat.
A piece of land near the Junction was ordered to be planted with withy sets and the Clerk was instructed to get the price of doing it.
Application having been made by the Stroud Local Board of Health for permission to put man holes to the sewer passing through Wallbridge wharf. Permission was given fit it.
