Summary

Letter read from Mr Waddy, Gloucester and Berkeley Canal, with reference to weight of Rowley Hall stone and blue bricks charged on canal. Mr Snape to reply.

Mr Lane at Ebley Mill agreed to let company place 2000 tons of mud on his land opposite Mrs Eycott’s on condition that they put some 6 inch pipes. in the ditch at the bottom of the bank.
Mr C H Hooper’s letter to Mr Snape respecting increased supply of water to his mill at Bond’s Mill by means of a 6 inch pipe to fill or feed each morning one of the tanks he was putting in his mill. Grave objection to so large a pipe.
Minor matters considered: sewage flowing into canal from Mr Harper’s property at Dudbridge; putting stone on Ebley canal bridge; boundary stones to define Company’s land near Ryeford; stones on Ryeford bridge to prevent water from road running into canal.

Committee Meeting held on Tuesday the 15^th day March 1887 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, ---Mr J Howard---, Mr E P Little, Mr A J M Ball, Mr W Davies jnr, Major Fisher.
[26] Ordered that the next Committee Meeting be held on Tuesday the 19^th day of April next at 3, o, clock pm and the General Half-Yearly Meeting at 3 30 pm on the same day.
[26] A letter was read from the Mr Waddy (Gloucester & Berkeley Canal) with reference (inter alia) to the weight of Rowley Hall stone and Blue bricks charged on our Canal, and Mr Snape was directed to reply, his letter being approved by the Chairman.
[7] A letter was also read from Mr Jones suggesting some repairs at Framilode Lock which were ordered to be done.
[7] Mr Snape reported that the land at the Ocean had been planted with osiers as directed at a former Meeting. He also reported that he had arranged with Mr Lane of Ebley Mill for placing about 2000 tons of mud on his land opposite Mrs Eycotts on condition that this Company put in the ditch at the bottom of the bank some 6" pipes. The Committee approved of this arrangement and ordered the pipes to be put in.
[56] Mr C H Hooper having written to Mr Snape, respecting an increased supply of water to his mill at Bond's Mill by means of a 6" pipe in order to feed or fill each morning one of the tanks he was putting into his mill; the Committee after much deliberation entertained grave objection to so large a pipe being used and at their request the Chairman wrote a letter to Mr Hooper pointing out the objections and inviting suggestions for meeting Mr Hopper's wishes and at the same time protecting the interests of the Canal Co.
[7] Other minor matters such as sewage flowing into the canal from Mr Harper's property at Dudbridge, putting stone on Ebley Canal Bridge, Boundary stones to define Co land near Ryeford, & stones on Ryeford Bridge to prevent water from the Road running into the Canal.
