William Darke Stanton claimed shares nos.7,62,63, will of Joseph John Stanton.
Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 22^nd day of October 1889 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, Mr H H Mills, Mr W^m Davies, Mr E F Gyde, Mr W J Stanton, Sir W H Marling Bart, Mr E P Little, Mr G H A Beard.
The various accounts books, and vouchers Signed by Mr Sturge the Auditor and certified to be correct were produced and passed.
The Treasurer's Book was produced examined and Signed by the Chairman.
[35] Sidney Forrabeer of the County of Gloucester Bank Limited Accountant, Stroud, attended on behalf of and under a written Authority from William Darke Stanton of Toddington in the County of Gloucester Clerk sole Executor of the Will of Joseph John Stanton formerly of Lovington near Castle Cary in the County of Somerset but late of Hatton in the said County, Clerk, deceased (who dies on the eighteenth day of May 1889) and who, at the time of his death, held three shares numbered respectively N^o 7, 62 and 63, and made out his claim to the said three shares of the Undertaking of the Stroud Water Navigation and now standing in the name of the said Joseph John Stanton deceased in the books of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroud Water Navigation by producing the tickets or titles of the said three shares and the Probate of the said will with one Codicil attached thereto of the said Joseph John Stanton deceased the said will bearing date the 8^th day of September 1870 and the Codicil bearing date the 27^th day of May 1887 and proved by the said Executor in the principal Probate Registry of Her Majestys High Court of Justice on the 23^rd day of August 1889.
And the claim was admitted accordingly and new tickets or titles ordered to be made out on the tickets or titles of the said Joseph John Stanton deceased being delivered up.
