Re-opening of Stratford Mills and best means of securing canal traffic to it discussed. Clerk to interview owners, Mr Waddy of Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Co and carrier Mr James Smart.
Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge Office on Tuesday the 16^th day of August 1892 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, Mr C H Hooper, Mr E P Little, Mr Jno Howard, Sir W H Marling Bart, Mr H H Mills, Mr W J Stanton.
No business requiring special notice was transacted at the above Meeting but discussions took place regarding the reopening of Stratford Mills and the best means of securing Canal traffic to it, which for the present was left in the hands of the Clerk to interview the Owners of the Mills, Mr Waddy of the Gloucester & Berkley Canal, and the Carrier Mr James Smart.
A discussion also arose upon the correspondence with the County Surveyor respecting the Catch pits at Ebley & Stonehouse and the discharge of Sewage matter into the Canal at Ebley.
