Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 17^th day of March 1896 @ 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr E C Little Chairman, Mr H H Mills Solicitor, Mr C H Hooper, Mr E P Little, Mr A B Hooper, Sir W H Marling Bart, Mr W Davies.
Ordered that the Half-yearly Meeting be held on Tuesday the 21^st day of April next @ 3.30pm.
Mr George Taylor was accepted as tenant of the Canal House at Eastington upon his renewed application.
The Clerk reported that Mr George Pegler, the tenant of the Wharf House at Dudbridge had expressed a wish to leave the premises at Lady-day and proposed that Mrs Axford of Dudbridge should be allowed to take them off his hands at that date, whereupon it was resolved that his wishes should be complied with & the usual agreement with Mrs Axford was ordered to be prepared.
Orders were given for the purchase of Oak and other Timber required for a new pair of bottom gates at the Westfield Lock Eastington. Also for the purchase of 100 feet of Larch Poles for piling.
