Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 18^th January 1898
Present: Mr Edward P Little Chairman, Mr H Hamilton Mills Solicitor, Mr A B Hooper, Mr W J Stanton, Mr W Davies.
The Deposit Receipts from the Chancery Lane Safe Deposit and Offices Company Limited for £485..1..1 the amount of the reserve fund were produced.
A letter was read from the Secretary of the General Post Office stating that in compliance with the Company's application instructions had ben given for extending the delivery of letters so as to include the Lock house at Ryeford.
A letter was read from Mr Z Whiting requesting the Company to repair the Weighing Machine on his premises at Eastington Wharf and the Clerk was instructed to inform him in reply that the Committee would expect him to have the Machine put in proper order in accordance with the verbal arrangement made with him when the machine was put in 1879, but the Companys men would render assistance in lifting the Machine when the repairs were being carried out.
