Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 20^th day of June 1899
Present: Mr C H Hooper Chairman, Mr H Hamilton Mills Solicitor, Mr A J M Ball, Mr E P Little, Mr P J Evans, Sir W H Marling Bart, Mr S S Marling, Mr W Davies.
The Clerk reported an application by the Nailsworth Brewery Company, for leave to arrange a urinal near Ebley Bridge. It was decided to await the report of the forthcoming Survey, when the matter might be examined on the spot.
A request for Mr William Knight of Ebley for permission to take water from the Canal for his garden, by means of a pipe (½") laid under the towing path was granted, subject to an agreement at the charge of 10/6 per annum.
Messrs R Townsend & C^oy having given notice to terminate the tenancy of the Warehouse at Wallbridge on the 29^th September the Clerk was instructed to advertise it in two Stroud papers and the Citizen.
The Clerk was authorised to hire out the Mud-boat to the Thrupp Parish Council to clean out a Bathing Place, at a charge of one shilling per ton of mud taken out. The Stonehouse Parish Council had made a similar request, and the Clerk was directed to convey to them the same terms.
The Annual Inspection of the Canal was arranges, as to the lower portion, for the 29^th inst by the Chairman and Mr E P Little with the Clerk, and as to the upper, by the Chairman with Mr P J Evans and the Clerk, on July 4^th.
