With reference to the proposed arrangement with the Stonehouse Parochial Committee, for tanks at the 'Mud Tip' Mr H Hamilton Mills reported having seen Mr Winterbotham Clerk of the Stroud District Council, who had been in communication with the Chairman of the Stonehouse Parochial Committee. Mr Mills had informed him that in addition to the other conditions set forth in the minute of the last Meeting this Company would give the Rural District Council the refusal of the whole area of the 'Mud Tip' should its reduced capacity for reception of mud induce the Company to give it up at the end of the 21 years, or, otherwise. renew the lease of the area let to them for the Tanks.
It was reported that no further communication on the subject had been received by this Company.
The Clerk reported a correspondence with the Cainscross Parish Council showing that they are not this year empowered to undertake arrangements for bathing in the Canal. Their Agreement for last year not having been paid for, the Solicitor of the Company was requested to make application to them for the amount of the charge due.
