[April 1903] At a General Half-Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their Office at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 21^st day of April 1903 @ 3.30pm
Mr C H Hooper Chairman.
It appears that the sum of £810..12..8 has been received from the 1"st day of October 1902 to the 1^st day of April 1903 and a balance brought forward of £247..0..3 from the last Half Year (after payment of Dividend) making a total of £1057..12..11 of which sum £587..18..5 has been applied towards the payment of wages, disbursements, Etc (including a sum of £150 paid towards the deficit of the Revenue of the Thames & Severn Canal Act 1895) and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer the sum of £469..14..3 available for Dividend.
Ordered that a Dividend of £1..10..0 per share be declared payable on the 1^st day of May next free of Income Tax carrying forward a balance of £169..14..3 to the next Half Years A/c.
The sum of £52..2..10 in the hands of the Chancery Lane Safe Deposit and Offices C^o Ltd & £520..1..0 in Cape of Good Hope 3½% Inscribed Stock stands to the credit of the Reserve Fund making a total of £571..3..10.
It was Resolved that the amounts of Expenditure on 'Maintenance' and 'Repairs' be shown henceforth in full, without addition or abatement, and 'Sundry Receipts' or Disbursements (not being 'Maintenance' or 'Repairs') being carried to separate accounts.
Mr Hamilton Mills was unanimously re-appointed Vice-Chairman, for the current year.
It was Resolved that the following Gentlemen form the Committee for the year following or until another Committee be appointed, viz:
