Summary

[1908 June] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 17^th day of June 1908 @ 3.15pm
Present: Mr C H Hooper Chairman, Mr F S Whittingham, Mr E P Little, Mr J R M Ball, Mr W J Stanton, Mr W Davies.
[National Telephone C^o "Rents"] The Clerk submitted the particulars, as directed, of the Rents paid by the National Telephone C^o Ltd. It was seen that 71 'Poles' are included in the recent agreement which _runs to 1910_. The others (72 Poles) are under the earlier agreement which might be terminated by notice (6 months) given in December next. The 'circuits', etc, made up the rest of the list. It was decided to defer the consideration of the matter to a later meeting.
[Ocean Bridge] The Clerk reported the purchase of timber for the Swing Bridge at Stonehouse Ocean, as authorized at the las meeting, and now being prepared at Gloucester.
[Annual Survey] Messrs Whittingham & J R M Ball undertook the Annual Survey of the lower portion of the canal from Eastington to Framilode. at an early date, it being left till the next Committee Meeting to arrange for the Survey of the remainder.
[Shares 57 & 107] Ferdinand Sanford Whittingham of Stroud in the County of Gloucester Solicitor attended under a written authority of Bruce Jacomb Asbury (in the Will called Bruce Asbury) of N^o 65 Cheyne Court Chelsea in the County of London Esquire sole Executor of the Will of Mary Susanna Asbury of 2 Percival Villas (now 41) Sydney Road Enfield in the county of Middlesex Spinster deceased who died on the 23^rd day of April 1908 at 2 Percival Villas aforesaid and who at the time of her death held two shares in the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation numbered respectively 57 & 107 now standing in the name of Mary Susanna Asbury aforesaid deceased in the books of the said Company and made out his claim by producing the tickets or titles of the said two shares and the probate of the Will of the said Mary Susanna Asbury the said Will bearing date the 29^th day of September 1903, and proved by the said Executor in the Principal Probate Registry of His Majesty's High Court of Justice on the 26^th day of May 1908 and the claim was admitted accordingly and new tickets of titles ordered to be made out on the tickets and titles of the said shares being delivered up.
