Mr Smart had not yet paid account for damage done to Lodgemore Bridge. Intention to attend next meeting but had not done so. Work ordered to be done.
Annual inspection: Top gate at Framilode attended to.
Letter from Saul Parish Council records satisfaction as to provision made for support of stop gate during high tides.
Engineer of Sharpness New Docks Co. to make platforms on gates at Shallow Lock safe.
Windows of house at Bristol Road painted.
Mr Truscott agreed to pay 1s a year for triangular piece of ground at Newtown from 24 June 1909.
Ocean Swing Bridge repaired. Will now go over winter.
Account sent to County Surveyor re dredging silt. Highways Committee unable to admit any liability.
Ryeford Bridge road under repair. Ryeford foot bridge in hand.
National Telephone Co’s stay near Oil Mills Bridge agreed.
Mr John Vick at Quedgeley paid 2s 6d for gate near Stonepits Bridge.
Premises on wharf at Dudbridge still unlet. Particulars with various house agents.
Whole length of dwarf wall on wharf at Dudbridge repaired. New towing path door fixed, warehouse roof repaired, new rafters etc. on west side. Walls underpinned in several places. Barges of buildings repaired and other minor repairs to wharfhouse and lockhouse.
Pair of top gates for Double Lock made.
About ten tons of stone required for repair of bridges. Cost £2 6s 4d.
[1909 September] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wenesday the 15^th day of September 1909 @ 3,30 o'clock pm

The Clerk reported that:
[Lodgemore Bridge] 1 He had written to Mr Smart, who had not paid the account for damage done to Lodgemore Bridge, and he had replied stating that was his intention to attend the next Committee Meeting, but he did not do so.
[Annual Inspection of Canal] 2 Work ordered to be done Annual Inspection:- The Stop Gate at Framilode had been attended to and a letter had been received from Saul Parish Council expressing satisfaction as to the provision made for the support of the Stop Gate during high tides.
[Shallow Lock] 3 The Engineer of the Sharpness New Docks Co had promised to make the platforms on the gates at the Shallow Lock safe.
[House - Bristol Road] 3 The windows of the house at Bristol Road had been painted.
[Triangular piece of land at Newtown] 5 Mr Truscott had agreed to pay one shilling per year for the triangular piece of ground at Newtown as from June 24^th 1909.
[Ocean Bridge] 6 The Ocean Swing Bridge had been repaired and will now go over the Winter.
[Silt in Canal County Council drains] 7 He had sent in an A/c as directed at the last Meeting, to the County Surveyor re dredging silt, and the County Surveyor had written returning the same stating that the Committee (Highways) are unable to admit any liability.
The matter was left in the hands of the Chairman.
[Ryeford Road Bridge] 8 The Ryeford Bridge (Road) was now under repair.
[Ryeford Foot Bridge] 9 The Ryeford Foot Bridge was in hand.
{Telephone C^o] 10 The National Telepone Cos' 'Stay' near Oil Mill Bridge in in an agreement.
[Mr J Vick 2/6 for gate] 11 Mr John Vick at Quedgeley had paid 2/6 for gate near Stonepits Bridge.
[Premises Dudbridge Wharf] 12 The premises on Dudbridge Wharf were still unlet but the particulars of the same had been placed in the hands of the various house-agents.
[Various repairs Dudbridge Wharf] 13 The whole length of the downfall on the Wharf at Dudbridge had been repaired, new towing path door fixed, Warehouse roof repaired (new rafters, (?), etc) on the West side, and the walls underpinned in small places. Barges of buildings repaired and other minor repairs done to Wharf house and Lock house.
[Lock Gates 'Double Lock'] 14 The pair of top gates for Double Lock had been made.
[Stone for Bridges] 15 About 10 tons of stone were required for the repair of bridges, which he was instructed to obtain, cost about £2..6..4.
[Next Meeting] Ordered that the next Committee Meeting be held on the 20^th day of October next @ 3.30pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting on the same day @ 4 o'clock pm.
