Summary

Rev E B Teasdale planted gorse on towing path bank west of Walk Bridge, Whitminster under belief bank was his property. Clerk to obtain written acknowledgement that land belongs to Company with all growing upon it.
Letter from Mr Gardom, Clerk to County Council. Overtures made to Thames Conservancy for transference of T&S Canal failed to bring about arrangement. Council contemplated closing canal from Chalford Valley to Inglesham. Letter from Mr Southall, Clerk to Severn Commissioners on same subject.

[1910 April] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 20^th day of April 1910 @ 3.30pm
Present: Walter J Stanton, W^m Davies, Edward P Little, F A Little, F S Whittingham, Philip Jas Evans, W H Marling.
[Stroud UDC pipe at Downfield] Mr Whittingham reported that the Stroud Urban District Council had written agreeing to the terms proposed by the Company for laying certain pipes at Downfield.
also that White had paid his rent up to March 25^th last.
[Apperly Curtis & C^o land at Dudbridge] The Clerk reported (1) that £5..11..0 had been received from Messrs Apperly Curtis & C^o Ltd, for land purchased at Dudbridge and this amount had been added to the Reserve Fund.
[Midland Railway C^o re Mud Tip at Stonehouse] 2 An interview had taken place with an official of the Midland Railway C^o respecting the Mud Tip at Stonehouse and the suggested piping of the drain from the Main Road and it was expected that the requisite permission from the Midland Railway Estate Office would be forthcoming shortly. It was decided that the work should be proceeded with as soon as possible after receipt of the Railway Company's sanction and that not less than 12" pipes should be used and a straight course kept.
[Drainage Lock house Dudbridge] Tenders were produced for the connection of Lock house at Dudbridge with Main Drainage and that of Solomon Hopson £6..5..0 was accepted.
[Mr A S Winterbotham re water supply] A letter from Mr A S Winterbothsm was read in which he requested permission to take a two inch pipe under the Towing path from the Canal near the 'Mud Tip' at Stonehouse for the purpose of watering some newly planted trees. It was considered that £5..- a year would be a reasonable sum to charge but the Chairman and the Clerk were empowered to deal with the matter after getting further information as to for how long the water would be wanted.
[Rev Teesdale gorse on towing path bank at Whitminster] It was reported that Rev E B Teesdale had planted gorse on the towing path bank of the Canal West of Walk Bridge Whitminster under the belief that the bank in question was his property. The Clerk was instructed to see Mr Teesdale and obtain a written acknowledgement (drafted by Mr Whittingham) that the land referred to belongs to the Company with all growing upon it.
[Thames and Severn Canal] A letter from Mr Gardom Clerk to the County Council was read announcing that overtures made to the Thames Conservancy for the transference of the Thames and Severn Canal had failed to bring about an arrangement and that the Council contemplated closing the Canal from the Chalford Valley to Inglesham. - A letter from Mr Southall Clerk of the Severn Commissioners on the same subject was also read. -
[Books and Vouchers] The Various Books and Vouchers signed by the Auditor & certified to be correct were produced and passed. The Treasurers Book was examined and signed by the Chairman. The Balance Sheet for Half Year ending March 31 1910 was fully discussed and it was decided to recommend a Dividend of 22/6 per share fee of Income Tax.
