Chairman and Mr Snape met Mr E P Little and Mr G Payne at Downfield. Two cottages in good tenantable repair. £500 acceptable price. Mr Little, on behalf of Gas Co, offered £450. Canal Company could not afford to accept less than £475.

[1910 Nov] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of November 1910 ' 3.30 o'clock pm
Present: Edward P Little, Philip Jas Evans, W H Marling, W^m Davies, F A Little, Walter J Stanton, Jack Margetson.
[Clerks Report] The Clerk reported that notice Boards had been placed at Framilode but no application for the house vacant there had been received so far.
Further correspondence had taken place with the Canal Association and the name of this Company had been included among the Navigations making certain proposals as to the filling up the Forms for land valuation.
The mud dredging boat was now under repair at Eastington and the following repairs had been carried out viz:
At Bristol Lock:- New heels to top gates, Sills and heads lined, new balance pole, new paddles struts, new paddle frames paddles and gearing, brickwork in Chamber of lock repaired.
A new trunk, 19' x 12" x10" has been put under the bed of the stream from the 'Coffin Weir' just above Bristol Road to convey land water.
[Cottages at Downfield] The Chairman reported that he in company with Mr Snape had met Mr E P Little and Mr G F Payne at Downfield and together they had gone over the two cottages there finding them in good tenantable repair and £500 had been named as a price the Company would accept.
The matter was now discussed and Mr Little on behalf of the Gas Company made an offer of £450 but it was agreed that the Canal Company could not afford to accept less that £457 which proposal Mr Little said should be considered at the next Gas Company's meeting.
[Eastington Bridge] The proposed widening of Eastington Bridge was discussed and the Chairman reported that he had had an interview with Mr F W Cripps and Mr Sinnott at Gloucester when he had proposed a modification of Mr Sinnotts plans. The further consideration of the subject was deferred till next meeting of the Committee when it was arranged the plans should be laid on the Table.
