Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 19^th day of April 1911 @ 3.30 o'clock pm
Present: W H Marling, A J Morton Ball, Philip Jas Evans, F A Little, F S Whittingham.
[Minutes] The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.
[A/cs] The various Accounts, Books and Vouchers signed by the Auditor and certified to be correct were produced and passed.
[Treasurers Book] The Treasurers Book was examined and signed by the Chairman.
[Land Valuation] It was reported that Forms N^o 3 provided under the Finance Act had been filled in and sent to the Local Land Valuation Officer and had been duly acknowledged by him.
[Investment £589..9..6] The Chairman stated that £589..9..6 of the funds lying in the hands of the Chancery Lane Safe Deposit Company Lts had been expended in the purchase of £500 North British 4½% Convertible Preference Stock 1875 @ 116¾ ex.div and would be added to Reserve A/c and registered in the names of Sir W H Marling Bart and Messrs A J Morton Ball, H Hamilton Mills and Arthur B Hooper the balance now remaining on deposit with the Chancery Lane Safe Deposit Company being £30..16..4.
[Cheltenham Billposting C^o] A letter from the Cheltenham Billposting Company was produced and read in which they agreed to take the walls as at present rented by them for one year on the same terms as before but at the reduced rent of seven pounds and it was directed the letter should be stamped.
[Letter Box at Framilode] Replies from the postmaster at Gloucester were read in which the Post Office Department undertook to make good any damage caused by the erection or removal of the letter Box on the Company's property at Framilode and to remove the same at any time when called upon to do so.
[Canal Association] Correspondence with the Canal Association with reference to certain proposed Bills was produced and considered.
[Clerks Report] The Clerk reported:-
1 The work undertaken by the Parish Council at Saul had been carried out.
2 The Weighbridges at Wallbridge and Dudbridge had been tested by the Inspector and found in order.
3 That he had received letters shewing that a good quantity of stone for the County Council would be coming over the canal this year.
[Dividend] The A/cs for the Half Year ending March 31^st were considered and it was resolved to recommend a Dividend of 20^s/- per share free on Income Tax and payable on the 1^st of May next.
