Stone traffic for roads had commenced, increasing trade.
[1911 May] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 17^th day of May 1911 @ 3.30 o'clock pm
Present: Philip Jas Evans, Walter J Stanton, F A Little, W H Marling, Jack Margetson, F S Whittingham, J R Morton Ball.
[Minutes] The Minutes of the previous Meeting were read and confirmed.
[North British Railway C^o Investment] Correspondence was produced shewing that the investment in North British Railway Stock was now completed - the amount having been paid and the Transfer duly signed by the four members of Committee in whose name the stock is standing.
[Cheltenham Billposting C^o] The letter from the Cheltenham Billposting Co re their rental of certain walls has been stamped.
[Canal Association] Further correspondence with the Canal Association was read.
[Towing path Stoppage] It was resolved that the stoppage of the Towing path should be deferred till the Autumn in view of the work awaiting attention just now.
[Annual Inspection] It was resolved that the following members of the Committee be asked to undertake the Annual Inspection of the Canal at dates to suit their convenience.
For the lower section (Eastington to Framilode, Messrs H Hooper and F A Little.
For the upper part (Stroud to Eastington) Messrs Jack Margetson & P J Evans.
[Clerk's report] The Clerk reported:
1 That stone traffic for the Roads had commenced and promised to be an increasing trade.
2 That Tonnage for the period Ap 1 1911 to May 15^th amounted to £116 against £115 same time last year & £96 in 1909.
