[1912 May] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 15^th day of May 1912 @ 3.30 o'clock pm
Present: Philip Jas Evans, F S Whittingham, W H Marling, Edward P Little, S S Marling, J R Morton Ball, F A Little, W^m Davies.
[D^r Perkins Winding Hole at Ryeford] The Clerk reported that he had again written D^r Perkins respecting the damage to Canal Banks at Ryeford but without reply. After discussion it was resolved that the Chairman should meet D^r Perkins solicitors and endeavour to arrange the matter.
[Annual Inspection of Canal] The Annual Inspection of Canal had been made over the section from Wallbridge to Eastington and the report was read.
The thanks of the Committee to Messrs Marling & Whittingham for the time and care devolved to the inspection and report were proposed and carried.
Messrs Davies and F A Little undertook to inspect the lower part from Eastington to the Severn on an early day.
[Canal trade] Mr E P Little informed the Committee concerning the steps he had taken to induce traffic on the Canal.
[Messrs Dickinson & Cox Stonehouse re Canal trade and sub-letting Stable] The Clerk reported an interview he had had with Messrs Dickinson & Cox who wished to sub-let a portion of the premises rented by them for which permission was granted. Messrs Dickinson had been reminded that the were not getting their coal by water and Mr Snape had undertaken to obtain information as to freights for them.
[Bank Balance] Bank balance was £244..17..4 after paying Dividend against £226..9..3 at the same time last year.
[Traffic] The Traffic to date since April 1^st amounted to £110 against £112 in 1911.
