Severn Fishery Board agreed to Company’s proposals, except for any condition as to amount of licence Board of Conservators should charge. Fee of 1s added to Board’s present charges would produce greater revenue than present fee of 2s 6d. Company to agree if lease not less than five years.
Stroud Brewery Co asked for sanction by Navigation of use of two of canal bridges by their motor lorries. Maximum weight not exceeding five tons five hundredweights. Not allowed. Bridges wooden swing bridges, utterly unsuitable for such traffic.
Correspondence with agent of the Excess Insurance read. Company declined to renew policy except at rate of 20s per cent per annum. Committee decided to pay.
Order by Court of Sewers for Lower Gloucestershire and correspondence produced. Requirements would not cost much so agreed.
New Saul Bridge completed.
Damage caused by heavy tides to walls and pierhead at Framilode repaired.
PO Telephone Dept had not yet paid rents due to December 1912.

[1913 July] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of July 1913 @ 3.30 o'clock pm

[Minutes confirmed] The minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.
[Severn Fishery Board] A letter from the Clerk to the Severn Fishery Board was read according to which they agreed to the Company's proposal except that they could not accept any condition as to the amount of licence the Board of Conservators should charge & expressing the opinion that a fee of 1^s/- added to the Board's present charge would produce a greater revenue than the present fee of 2/6.
It was agreed that if the Company give way on this point the term of the Lease must not be less than five years.
[W Mourbey Agreement Sealed] The Chairman reported that since the last Meeting of the Committee the seal of the Company had been affixed in his presence to the Agreement with M^r W Mourbey.
[Stroud Brewery and Canal Bridges at Whitminster & Saul] The Stroud Brewery C^o having asked for the sanction by the Navigation of the use of two of the Canal Bridges by their Motor Lorries the maximum weight of which loaded would not exceed five Tons five hundredweight it was decided to decline to allow it the more especially as the bridges in question are both wooden swing bridges & utterly unsuitable for such traffic.
[Workmens Insurance] Correspondence with the Agent of the "Excess" Insurance Company was read, at to the rate for insurance of the workmen for the ensuing year by which it appeared they declined to renew the policy except at a rate of 20/- per cent per annum which the Committee decided to pay.
[River Frome at Saul] The order by the Court of Sewers for lower Gloucestershire and correspondence relating thereto was produced and the Manager reported that the requirements would not cost the Company much to carry out. The Committee gave instructions for doing the required work.
[Clerks Report] The Clerk reported that the new Saul Bridge had been completed.
The damage caused by the heavy tides to walls and pier head at Framilode had been repaired.
The P O Telephone Department had not yet paid the rents due to December 1912 though promising attention.
The the Traffic for the period since April 1913 amounted to £313 against £326 this time last year & £282 in 1911.
The Balance at Bank was £332 to the Credit against 321 this time last year and 313 in July 1911.
It was decided to omit the Committee Meeting in August as usual and to meet next on the 17^th September.
