[1913 December] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 17^th day of December 1913 @ 3.30 o'clock pm
Present: Philip Jas Evans, A J Morton Ball, Edward P Little, F S Whittingham, F A Little.
[Severn Fishery Board] The Agreement with the Severn Fishers Commissioners was sealed and attested by the Chairman & the Clerk.
[Clerks report] The Clerk reported:-
1 that the piling of the Canal banks at Saul had been completed and a number of larger leaks repaired..
2 that he had seen the Urban District Council Surveyor on the subject of the flooding by Storm water but that it appeared to be unavoidable. He had proposed a plan of alteration to the WC arrangements at the Ship Inn to the Inspector which met his approval and the Committee decided to carry out the connection to the Main Drainage - the cost being roughly estimated at £12..-.
3 that the roof of the Office had been found to be in bad order and it was ordered to be repaired.
4 that a portion of the narrow towing path between the Canal and the brook below the Double Locks Ryeford had shown signs of movement and should be piled and sheeted for a length of about 26 yards. It was difficult to estimate the cost as it was uncertain as to the quantity of piles & sheeting that would be required - the Committee resolved that the necessary work should be done.
[Postmaster General re Telephones] A letter from the Postmaster General was read insisting that the altered charges for way-leaves must commence as from Jan 1^st 1912 and saying the amount due should be paid shortly.
[Traffic] The tonnage from 1^st October to date cam to £231..- against £250 for the same period in 1912 and £237 in 1911.
[Bank Balance] The Bank balance stood at £434 against 378 last year at the same date and 380 in 1911.
