Application by Mr Herbert Edwards of Bristol for wayleave for overhead cable across canal near Gas Works granted. £1 per annum.

[1914 March] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 18^th day of March 1914 @ 3.30 o'clock pm

[Memo] The Memorandum of the proceedings of the Meeting of Feby 1918 was read and approved.
[Committee] Only three Members of the Committee being present, there was no quorum, but there being some matters requiring immediate attention, it was decided to proceed with them, subject to confirmation by the next Committee: viz;
[Way-leaves GPO] Mr Whittingham reported that the Agreement with the Post Office concerning telephone wayleaves had been exchanged and the costs paid by the Department.
[A Alder of Ryeford] A letter was read from Mr Alder respecting the claim for damages by water from the Canal and the matter was left till the April meeting.
[Wharves] Mr Snape reported that the stone for repairing Wharves and bridges at Eastington had been delivered.
[Stroud Electric Lighting] Letters from Mr Herbert Edwards of Bristol were produced and his application for wayleave for an overhead Cable across the Canal near the Gas Works considered. The Committee agreed to grant the same for £1..0..0 per annum with usual agreement.
[Traffic] The Traffic report showed £525 for the period since October 1 1913 to date against £555 for same period a year ago and £508 in 1911/12.
[Balance] Balance at Bank after paying the £150..- contribution for the Thames and Severn Canal £383..-.
[Half Yearly Meeting] Ordered that the next Committee Meeting be held on the 22^nd April next @ 3.30 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting @ 4 o'clock on the same day.
