Letter to be sent to Messsrs Cadbury. Invitation to send someone to negotiate terms. Chairman offered to meet them at Stroud.

[1916 March] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 15^th day of March 1916 @ 3.30 clock pm
Present: Philip Jas Evans, Edward P Little, Jack Margetson, F A Little, S S Marling, F S Whittingham.
The Minutes of the last Meeting were read and confirmed.
Mr Snape reported that:
1 The police had been seen on the subject of the leaving open of the Walk Bridge at Whitminster and that on examination it had been found that the plates on which the Rollers work were slightly grooved - occasioning some difficulty in closing the Bridge properly. He recommends that the plates be chipped and filed to a level surface. This was agreed to.
William George Bullock foreman on the Mud boat had left the Company's service and is now working as Captain of the Gas Company's bat but would like to continue in the occupancy of the house he now occupies. It was agreed to let it to him at £5/-/- a year on condition that he attends to the Locks there.
No further letter has been received from Messrs Cadbury Bros. After some discussion it was agreed that a letter should be written to them inviting them to send over some one in a position to negociate terms and the Chairman offered to meet them at Stroud.
It was ordered that the next Committee Meeting be held on the 19^th April next @ 3.30 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting @ 4 o'clock pm on the same day.
The tonnage to date was £402..2..7 as compared with £450..19..2 for corresponding period in 1915.
Credit Balance at Bank stood at £241..8..0 against £367..15..10 this time last year.
