Summary

Mr Humphries, Mr Snape’s assistant, to receive salary increase from 7s 6d to 10s per week, in addition to 12s 6d for Thames & Severn.

[1916 May] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 17^th day of May 1916 at 3.30 o'clock pm
Present: Edward P Little, A J Morton Ball, F A Little, F S Whittingham, S S Marling.
The tenancy agreement signed by W G Bullock re Cottage at Double Locks was produced and sealed.
Letters from Mr Whiting were put in as to the replacement of the wooden frame on the top of the well of the weighing Machine rented by him on the Company's Wharf at Eastington. After some discussion the Clerk was instructed to do what he thought was necessary.
A draft Agreement as to Telephone Exchange wire was produced, Mr Whittingham having perused the same the Clerk was instructed to complete the Agreement, it being understood that the County Council pay one half of the charges in respect of this wire as heretofore.
The Clerk reported that the Cottage at Bristol Road occupied by Mrs Williams (for many years) required some repairs - he (the Clerk) was instructed to do what he considered necessary.
A verbal application had been received from Mr Tudor of the Wharf-house at Bristol Road for some papering & painting to be done. After discussion the Clerk was instructed to see M^r Tudor and inform him that the Committee considered that under his Agreement with the Company he had undertaken to keep the inside of the premises in tenantable repair.
It was resolved to raise M^r Humphres salary (from 7/6) to 10/- per week, in addition to 12/6 for Thames & Severn Lock.
