[1917 G Mtg October] At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at their Office at Wallbridge, Stroud on Wednesday the 34^th day of October 1917 at 4 o'clock pm
Mr P J Evans Chairman.
It appears that the sum of £570..0..8 has been received from the 1^st day of April to the 1^st day of October 1917 and a balance brought forward of £192..8..0 from the last Half Years Account (after payment of Dividend) making a total of £771..8..8 of which sum £398..3..11 has been applied towards payment of Wages, disbursements, etc, and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer a sum of £373..4..9.
Ordered that a Dividend of £ 10^s/- on each share be declared payable on the 1^st day of November 1917 free of Income Tax carrying forward a balance of £273..4..9 to the next Half Years Account.
The sum of £7..5..6 in the hands of the Chancery Lane Safe Deposit and Offices C^o Ltd, and £500 in Cape of Good Hope 3½% Inscribed Stock costing £520..1..0 and £500 North British Railway Cos 4½% Convertible Preference Stock costing £590..9..6 and £250 5% War Stock 1929-1947 costing £234..6..10 stands to the credit of the Reserve Fund making a total of £1351..2..10.
It was Resolved that the following Gentlemen be appointed to the Committee for the half year next following:
