[From page 339] William Iliff had applied for an increase in wages and the Committee agreed to increase the 5/- per week he is now paid by this Company to 6/- leaving it to him to apply to the County Council for a rise in regard of the work he does on the Thames & Severn Canal.
The condition of certain trees growing on Mr Bush's land at Eastington was discussed and it was agreed that another letter should be sent him pointing out the danger to the works of the Canal Company there and the responsibility he would incur if they fell across the Canal.
The Statement of Accounts for the Half Year ending 30^th September was read and discussed and it was decided to recommend a Dividend of 10^s/ per share payable on November 1^st 1917.
At the Half Yearly Shareholders Meeting following Messrs S Marling, J Margetson and A J Morton Ball who had ceased to be members of the Committee after three consecutive absences were reelected.
