The Minutes of the last two meetings when a quorum of the Committee was not present were read and confirmed.
A letter from the Clerk of the Severn Fishery Commissioners was read in which complaint was made of the state of the Canal in regard to weeds which it was alleged had caused a great drop in the number of fishing permits issued by the Board of Conservators and asking if the Canal could be cleaned out or they would have to consider whether they must determine the fishing rights. The Manager was instructed to reply that he would see what could be done to improve matters but that the fewer men left in the district in consequence of the war and also the large amount of overtime worked were probably the causes of less call for permits.
A letter was put in from J Harris tidesman at Framilode asking permission to do other work without the time being deducted by this Company which was agreed to for the present as a war time concession and further that lamp and oil should be provided for use in his work on the Canal.

The amount to be paid - if allowed - to be £1..0..0 for each half year or part of half year.
The Tonnage Oct 1 to Feby 19 had amounted to £277..2..7 against £274..14..10 to same date in 1917.
