Mr Field states that largest vessels working the Severn before the Bridge was there were 200 tons, but now only 100 tons. No information to date on volume of traffic passing up Severn and not touching our system. Much more about the likely competition to be offered by the Tunnel and effects on London and Bristol ports and Bullo and Lydney.
