At an adjourned Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 3rd Day of November 1831
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Grazebrook, Joseph F Fisher, M^r Wyatt, M^r Wathen. D^r Darke.
Ordered that William Hairs be appointed to succeed his late Father as a Weekly Servant, to look after the Double Locks and the Canal, Vessels, etc, and to perform the other Duties of his late father's office. And that he be allowed Seventeen Shillings per Week as wages, together with the use of the House at the Double Locks, while he remains in the Company's Service.
