Summary

Mr Baker to be sued for outstanding rent.
Estimate for dredging of silt etc in Wallbridge Pound £400-500. Committee considered the cost could not be justified.
Mr Toogood, Secretary of Wycliffe College, informed the committee that the Rural District Council would include Ryeford Hall in the new sewage scheme. They did not know when this would be. In the meantime he had the co-operation of the Council in keeping the cess pit emptied at short intervals.
Meadow’s cottage at Framilode to be repaired.

[1938 July] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 27^th day of July 1938 @ 4 o#clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, R J C Little.
There being only three Members of the Committee present there was no quorum, but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Public Trustee re Sir P S Marling Bart, deceased
The Clerk reported that the Auditors had communicated with the Public Trustee.
Rents unpaid, M^r Baker, M^r Palmer
The Committee decided that M^r Baker be sued. M^r Palmer had paid for the quarter ending 24^th June, the rent is payable in advance & the Clerk was instructed to apply for the quarters rent, £5..0..0 due on 24^th June last.
Wallbridge Office - Sink
The Clerk reported that M^r Maller had fixed the Sink in the scullery.
State of Canal: Wallbridge Pound
The Clerk reported the approximate estimate £400 to £500, for dredging the silt, etc, in the Wallbridge pound. The Committee is of opinion that the cost would not be justified by the result.
Ryeford Saw Mills C^oy, Fencing at Double Locks & Cottage
There was nothing further to report.
Canal at Ryeford, Sewage from Ryeford Hall. Wycliffe College
The Secretary, M^r Toogood, had written to say that the matter had been causing them considerable anxiety, that he had been in touch with the Rural District Council & had been informed that Ryeford Hall will come into the new sewage scheme but could not tell them when the scheme will be in operation, but he had the co-operation of the Council in keeping the cess pit emptied at short intervals.
Stonehouse Wharf, M^r Davies
M^r Davies' application to purchase a small portion of the Wharf was not acceptable to the Committee.

M^r Fox's application to erect a sign board on the premises of the Wharf House had not been granted.
Framilode Property
The Clerk was authorized to have the necessary repairs, of the floor, carried out in Meadow's cottage.
August Meeting
The Committee decided that the August Meeting should not be held.
