[1940 Dec] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on the 18^th day of December 1940 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, G A Evans.
There being only two Members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Gloucester Corporation, Pipes crossing the Canal
There was nothing further to report.
Bristol Road Bridge, Damage re Ocean Accident and Guarantee Corporation and Motor Union Insurance Co
The Chairman read letters from the two Insurance Companies.
Home Defence re Lockhouse at Dudbridge, Compensation
The Committee decided not to make a claim.
Income Tax, Messrs Dudbridge & Sons
There was nothing to report.
Canal Trade
It was reported that the Stroud Gas Company had had a boat loaded with coal discharged at their Gas Works per Severn & Canal Carrying C^oy.
Canal:- It was decided to furnish particulars of he Canal to the Regional Canal Advisory Committee as requested.
Gashouse Bridge, Replacement
Ordered that a Cheque £118..10.0 be drawn in favour of Messrs Daniels Ltd in payment of their Account.
The Committee directed that the figures of the cost of the replacement of the bridge be given to the Gas Company.
Coal; Local Fuel Overseer, Stroud
It was understood that the Overseer had communicated with the Severn & Canal Carrying Coy. There was nothing more to report.
Next Meeting: Ordered that the next Meeting of the Committee be held at Wallbridge on the 22^nd day of January 1941 @ 3 o'clock pm and the General Half Yearly Meeting @ 3.30pm on same day.
