[1941 April] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of March 1941 @ 3 0'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, G A Evans.
There being only three Members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Bristol Road Bridge, Repairs
There was nothing further to report.
Sperry Gyroscope Coy Lts, Telephone wire to Blockhouse
It was reported that the Company had agreed to the Navigations proposed 5.- annual rent to date from the 25^th March last.
J & H B Jackson Ltd: re Dudbridge Wharf
A letter was read from Messrs Jackson. The Chairman undertook to settle a reply.
Sperry Gyroscope Coy Ltd: re Swing Bridge at Stonehouse
letter was read from the Company. The Chairman undertook to settle a reply.
Bristol Road Bridge, Henry W Collingwood
A letter was read from M^r Collingwood respecting the salvage of Ingots of aluminium from the Canal. The Chairman undertook to settle a reply.
Gashouse Bridge, Damage, Messrs John Mowlem & Co Ltd
The Clerk reported damage done to this bridge and that temporary repair had been carried out. Messrs Mowlem have been notified, and it was understood that they fully accepted liability in the matter.
Stroud R D Council: Application for discharge of Storm water to the Canal from their sewer at Cross Bridge, Stonehouse
After discussion the Chairman undertook to settle a letter for the Clerk to send to the Rural Council.
