Ministry of Works and Buildings to supply Navigation with plan and section of the proposed crossing of a petrol pipe at Whitminster Pound.
Company’s present employees are above present age group for call up.
Stroud Rural District Council informed Committee that iron railings between Ryeford and Double Locks were property of Ryeford Saw Mills and not the Navigation.

Present: Henry R Hooper, G A Evans, R J C Little.
There being only three Members of the Committee present there was no quorum but there being some matter requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
In the unavoidable absence of the Chairman Mr H R Hooper took the Chair.
_Gashouse Bridge: Messrs Mowlem & Coy Damages_
It was reported that Messrs Mowlem in repairing the bridge omitted one of the supports to the handrail, and they had not repaired the towing path bank. The Committee directed that their attention should be drawn to these matters and the Chairman undertook to settle a letter for the Clerk to send to Messrs Mowlem.
_Severn Fishery Board, Weeding the Canal_
There was nothing further to report. The Board had paid them, £5, half years rent due last 25^th December, without comment.
_Dudbridge Wharf, Stroud U D C Requisition_
A letter from Messrs Jackson was read, after discussion the Committee directed that Messrs Jackson be informed the Committee regretted that they could no see their way to relieve them from the tenancy.
_Saul Bridge, The South Gloucestershire Internal Drainage Board, Damage_
Letters from the Board were read. The Committee decided to leave the matter in the hands of the Chairman.
_Property a Framilode, Repairs_
The Clerk reported the repairs completed.

A notice from the Ministry was produced they had promised, verbally, to supply the Navigation with a plan section of the proposed crossing.
_Hoffman Gloucester Ltd, Water pipe_
Draft Agreements produced were read by the Chairman.
_Wallbridge Warehouse, M^r Hopson, Tenant_
A letter from Mr Hopson was read complaining about trespass to his premises from the lock side at Wallbridge first lock. The Committee directed that Mr Hopson's letter be sent to the Clerk of the County Council, and at same time request him to take early steps to protect the property.
_War Damage, Canal Association_
The Clerk reported a letter from the Association. The matter was left to the Chairman.
_Directorate of Engineering Works re Staff_
It appeared that the information asked for was not applicable to the Navigation, all men were to be excluded who are liable for calling up under the present age group. It was understood that all the Company's present employees are above the present age groupd.
_Stroud Rural District Council, Iron railing at Ryeford_
A letter from the Council stated that the railings referred to on the Canal side belong to the Ryeford Saw Mills Company and are not the property of the Navigation.
