On the 23rd Instant I addressed a Letter to you begging that you would do me the honour to lay before the Compy of the Stroudwater navigation the request contained therein regarding the stopping of the supply of water to the Gloster & Berkeley Canal. I have not as yet received any reply -- nor has the water been stopped from running over the wear or feeder from the River into the Stroud Canal -- nor is the Whitminster Lock yet closed. The Gloster & Berkeley Canal consequently has continued to receive an undiminished supply of Water from the Froome or Stroud River through the Stroudwater Navigation up to this time -- The said supply being directed from running to my Mills at Framilode -- and so taken contrary to the Statute. You will oblige me by an early reply.
