Summary

Second leak of Lodgemore culvert stopped.
Proposed that the permission of the Ministry of Transport be sought to close the canal from the Junction to Framilode.
Ministry of Transport will do nothing further on damage to Blunder Lock.

[1945 May] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of May 1945 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, J R Morton Ball, G A Evans, G W Morton Ball, R J C LIttle.
The Minutes of Meeting held on the 18^th April 1945 were read and confirmed.
Canal Lodgemore Culvert
The Clerk reported another leak which had been stopped.
Messrs Hoffman Gloucester Ltd, Water supply from the Canal Agreement dated 27 April 1942
The Chairman read a letter from Messrs Hoffman received in reply to the Company's letter of the 13^th April last stating that they agreed that a supplemental agreement in the circumstances was unnecessary.
List of Canal Buildings
In accordance with Minute of last Meeting a list of Canal buildings was produced. after discussion M^r J R Morton Ball proposed that application be made to the Ministry of Transport for permission to close the Canal from the Junction at Saul to the River Severn at Framilode.
Ebley Intake, Condition
The Clerk having reported that this needed repairs. M^r G W Morton Ball undertook to make an inspection of the place and to report to the next Meeting of the Committee.
Blunder Lock, Damage by enemy action
The Chairman read a letter from the Ministry of Transport stating that "there is still nothing further that can be added to the Department's letter of the 27^th June 1942.
Stroud Joint Sewerage Scheme
A letter and plan received from M^r Langley the Surveyor for the Stroud U D Council was produced and discussed. The Committee directed that a letter be written to M^r Foster suggesting that as certain technical information is required he should meet a Member of the Committee and our Surveyor, The Chairman undertook to settle the letter.
