Summary

Mr Wood reported that on 9 December Lodgemore level of canal was several inches below proper height. Servant Guy had not reported same or taking of water to supply deficiency. Clerk to enquire reason.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 18^th day of December 1834
Present: M^r W J Wood, M^r Jos^h Fisher, M^r Samuel Fisher, M^r T C Croome, M^r Stanton, M^r Wyatt, M^r Cosham, M^r F Eycott, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Tho^s Croome.
Examined the Books & Accounts of the Company.
Examined several Items of Rich^d Bushell's Bills, for Ironwork, amounting together to the Sum of £27.2.3. Ordered that the same be paid.
Ordered that 2 Bills of Samuel Smith for Work & Labor & materials amounting together to £18.15.5 be paid.
Ordered that Stephen Purnell's Bill for Curb stone for the Crane at Dudbridge Wharf amounting to £8.2.0 be paid.
Ordered that W^m Longhey's Bill for Bricks £4.10.0 be paid.
Ordered that following Bills be paid, Viz:
M^r J P Bisley: £9.9.4
Mess^rs H & J Fisher: £14.16.9
Ordered that W^m Snowden be paid the Sum of £75.18.9 for Fencing at Lodgemore, when the Release of the Company from all further liability in respect of the Fencing of the Meadows below Lodgemore, and Security against any future claim in respect thereof be executed by him; & that Mess^rs Fisher do prepare such Release & Security.
Reported by M^r Wood that on the 9^th inst^t the Lodgemore Level of the Canal was several inches below its proper height, about 11 o'cl and that our Servant Guy has not reported the same, or the taking of Water to supply the deficiency in his Book of Registry as to Water:
Ordered that our Clerk do enquire of him the reason - and do caution him to pay particular attention in future to his reports of the Water.
