Summary

George Basham to keep roads over bridges and wharfs in good repair in addition to present contract. Term to be extended for 3 years, with annual payment increased £5 to £115.
Thames & Severn Canal Co to make reduction to tonnage of salt. Drawbank of 6d on salt passing from Wallbridge through T&S Canal into Wilts & Berks Canal to Oxford and beyond Pewsey Wharf on the Kennet & Avon Canal, on production of a certificate that it has been delivered within three months after passing Wallbridge.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 30^th day of July 1835
Present: M^r Jos Fisher, M^r Holbrow, M^r F Eycott, M^r Cosham, M^r Croome, M^r Wyatt, M^r Wood.
Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
George Basham engages to keep the Roads over the Bridges and the Wharfs in good repair in addition to the work to be performed by his present Contract on condition of having the Term extended to three years from the Expiration thereof and the annual Payment increased Five Pounds making the whole One hundred and Fifteen Pounds.
Resolved that such Proposal be accepted and agreed for.

A Letter having been received from the Thames and Severn Canal Company stating that they had made the contemplated Reduction in the Tonnage of Salt in Conformity with the Proposal submitted to the General Assembly of the 23^rd Day of April last,
Resolved - That a Drawback of Sip Pence Per Ton be allowed upon Salt passing from Wallbridge through the Thames and Severn Canal into the Wilts and Berks Canal and thence either to Oxford or to or beyond Pewsey Wharf upon the Kennett and Avon Canal upon the Production of a Certificated that it has been so delivered within three months after the Period of passing the Companys Wharf at Walbridge.
Resolved - That a Meeting of the Committee be held on Thursday the Thirteenth August at this place at 8 o'Clock in the morning and that the Committee proceed from here in a Boat to view the Works of the Canal.
