Annual inspection on a on boat.
Wall south side Lodgemore Bridge to be repaired with stone. At Cuckolds Brook mud, gravel and silt on south side of canal to be taken out.
Double Lock wing wall on north, and Stonehouse Bridge on both wing walls, not properly repaired by day work.
Ocean wall not done according to contract. Mr Harrison to meet Committee.
At Top of Five Lock the stonework under sill of upper pair of gates to be planked.
Basham to have two dead trees in hedgerow for 10s.
At Chippenham Platt paint outside of houses occupied by Critchley and Organ. Leading trunk for rainwater to be put up at Organ’s house .
Dock Lock: query Harrison’s work at wing wall.
At Bristol Road two elm trees to be cut down, one near bridge and one on canal bank.
At Lockham Bridge withey bed, remove all posts into store.
Crib at Framilode to be repaired. One barge load of Bristol stone to be bought for this.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held on board a Boat on Thursday August 18^th 1836
Present: M^r P H Fisher, M^r Wyatt, M^r Holbrow, M^r Wood, M^r Jos^h Fisher, M^r Cosham, M^r T C Croome.
The Committee proceeded in the Boat from Walbridge to Framilode for the purpose of surveying the Canal.
Lodgemore Bridge: Ordered that the Wall on the South side under the Bridge be repaired with Stone.
Cuckhold's Brook: Ordered that the Mud Gravel & Silt on the South side of the Canal be taken out to allow the free passage of the Water through the Culvert under the Navigation there.
The double Lock: The wing Wall on the North side _not_ properly repaired (day Work),
Stonehouse Bridge: The same as to the Day Work here in both wing Walls.
Ocean Wall: Not done according to contract. M^r Harrison to be directed to meet the Committee at their next assembly.
Top of the five Locks: The Stone Work under the SIll of the upper pair of Gates to be planked,
Basham to have two dead Trees in the Hedgerow for 10 Shillings.
Chippenhamd Plat: To paint the outside of the Houses occupied by Critchley & Organ. Leading trunk for Rain water be put up at Orfans House.
Dock Lock: Qy Harrisons work at the Wing Wall of the Lock.
Bristol Road: The two Elm Trees to be cut down, one near the Bridge and the other on the Canal bank.
Lockham Bridge Withy Bed, to remove all the posts into Store.
Ordered that the following Bills be paid:
M^r Brisley's for Stationery: £10.13.2
Tho Gabb's for Blacksmiths Work: £2..9..10½
Ordered that all Tradesmens Bills be delivered in Monthly & that our Clerk give them directions so to do.
Ordered that the Crib at Framilode be repaired & that one Barge load of Bristol Stone be bought for that purpose.
