Summary

Estimate from Joseph Small for supplying and putting up new crane at Dudbridge Wharf, equal to that belonging to Messrs Price & Co. near the Anti dry rot Company wharf at Gloucester for £125, using cog wheels of present crane, accepted.
George Henry Augustus Beard claimed share no.177, will of Charlotte Beard.
Mr Wyatt proposed on behalf of Joseph Watts that house and wharf at Chippenham Plat occupied by Critchley be let to him. Rent of £10 per annum.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 14^th day of December 1837
Present: M^r Cosham, John Holbrow, M^r Jos^h Fisher, George Wathen, M^r Sam^l Fisher, Henry Wyatt, M^r P H Fisher, D^r Darke, M^r W J Wood, G H A Beard, Tho^S C Croome.
Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
Ordered that Richard Bushell's bill amounting to £5.8.10 be allowed and paid.
Ordered that posts and a Rail be placed on each side of the Road leading down from the Canal Bridge at the Ryeford as far as necessary as a fence to the Road to prevent accidents there.
A letter from Joseph Small was read, being an Estimate for supplying and putting up a New Crane at Dudbridge Wharf, after a plan and being of the strength equal to that belonging to Mess^rs Price & C^o near the Anti dry rot Company Wharf at Gloucester for the Sum of One hundred and twenty five pounds on being allowed to use the Cog wheels of the present Crane. Ordered that his Tender be accepted, provided the same includes the masonry and providing all materials for, and fixing the same complete: and that he be required to correct the Tender so as satisfactorily to include the above items.
M^r George Henry Augustus Beard attended and claimed (as Administrator of the Goods, Chattels and Effects of Charlotte Beard late of Leonard Stanley in the County of Gloucester, Spinster, deceased) one Share N^o 177 in the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation standing in the name of the said Charlotte Beard, deceased, and he produced Letters of Administration dated the 10^th day of December 1836 granted by and under Seal of the Consistory Cour of the Diocese of Gloucester & Bristol to him the said George Henry Augustus Beard to administer the Goods, Chattels and Effects of the said Charlotte Beard and the claim of the said George Henry Augustus Beard to the said Share as such Administrator as aforesaid was allowed accordingly.
M^r Wyatt proposed on behalf of M^r Joseph Watts that the House and Wharf at Chippenham's pat now occupied by Critchly be let to him. Resolved that the House and Wharf be let to M^r Watts provided he wil pay a Rent of Ten pounds per Annum for the same.
