At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Friday the 10^th day of August 1838
Present: M^r S Fisher, M^r Wyatt, M^r Jos Fisher, M^R Hughes, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Geo Wathen. M^r G H A Beard.
M^r George Hawker appeared on the part of Robert Vaughan Richards Esquire and claimed for him the said Robert Vaughan Richards (as one of the Surviving Executors of Matthew Chalic formerly of Minchin Land London but late of Wellington Street in the Strand in the county of Middlesex and of Bolingbroke Battersea Rise in the County of Surrey Esquire deceased) two Shares (Numbered 199 and 102) in the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation standing in the names of the said Matthew Chalic; and the said George Hawker produced the probate of the WIll of the said Matther Chalic (and the Various Codicils thereto) bearing date the third day of July 1823 whereby he the said Matthew Chalic appointed Elizabeth Hoper, Catherine Sarah Hoper and the said Robert Vaughan Richards Executors such probate under the Seal of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury dated the 11^th day of June 1838 being granted to the said Robert Vaughan Richards as one of the Surviving Executors of the said Matthew Chalic. And the Claim of the said Robert Vaughan Richards to such Shares N^os 199 & 102 as such Executors as aforesaid was allowed accordingly.

Ordered that the part of the Upper floor of the Warehous at Walbridge Wharf which is occupied by M^r Biddle be forthwith cased in half inch Elm, and that the Board be procured immediately for that purpose.
