Revd William Colston claimed share no.154, will of Alexander Townsend.
Notice to be given to Mr Joseph Blackmore to pay wharfage due for wood deposited by him on wharf at Dudbridge and remove wood or it will be sold at auction.
Large stout great coat and mackintosh or camblet cape to be provided for the inspector in his duty in inclement weather and night attendance.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Wednesday the 17^th of October 1838

Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
M^r George Hawker appeared on the part of the Rev^d WIlliam Colston of Brougton Hall near Lechlade in the County of Gloucester Clerk, the Residuary Legatee of and the Sole Executor named in the last Will and Testament of Alexander Townsend late of Theescombe in the parish of Minchinhampton in the said county of Gloucester deceased, bearing date the 29^th day of April 1836, (in which said Will the said William Colston is called by mistake William Coulston) & proved by the said William Colston in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury the 19^th day of January 1838, and made out the Claim of the said William Colston to one Share, numbered 154, in the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation, standing in the name of the said Alexander Townsend in the Books of the Company, by producing the probate of the said last Will and Testament of the said Alexander Townsend under the Seal of the said Prerogative Court of Canterbury bearing date the said 19^th day of January 1838, And the Claim of the said William Colson to the said Share, numbered 154, is admitted accordingly.
Ordered that the following Bill be paid:

Ordered that Notice be given to M^r Joseph Blackmore to pay the Wharfage due to the Company in respect of the Wood deposited by him on the Wharf of the Company at Dudbridge some time ago, and to remove the said Wood, otherwise the Wood will be sold to pay the said Wharfage and expenses and that on defaut thereof - That our Clerk do proceed to sell the same Wood by Auction.
Ordered that a large stout Great Coat, and also a Mackintosh or Camblet Cape, be provided; to be used by the Inspector in his duty during inclement weather, and in his night attendance on his duties as such Inspector.
