Jn^o Holbrow in the Chair.
The minutes of the last General Meeting were read & confirmed. The several Books and Accounts of the Company were produced (as directed by Act of Parliament) and were examined and confirmed. It appears by the accounts that the sum of £3002..2..8 has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 14^th Day of April last to the 14^th Day of October Instant; a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, disbursments, etc, and that there remains in the Treasurers Hands (after paying the last Dividend) the sum of £2505..18..3.
Ordered that a Dividend of Twelve Pounds be paid on each Share by the Treasurer on the first Day of November next; and that our Clerk do transmit circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them that they may dray upon the Treasurer or apply to him for payment of the same.
M^r Robert Davis having attended and made complaint of the delay of the passage of Vessels through the Canal Bridge opposite his Mill at Stonehouse, in consequence of some impediment in the Canal or of the width of the Bridge Walls, and the consequent Inconvenience to him (not withstanding the removal of the Mud & Silt from that part of the Canal); and it having been suggested that some of the Barges (particularly one belonging to James Nourse) are of an unusual width:_
Ordered that the matter be referred to the Committee to do things as they see fit.
