Anthony Scott claimed shares nos.85,11,37,38, will of Susannah Scott.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Wednesday the 13^th May 1840
Present: M^r Cosham, Croome, Sam^l Fisher, John Stanton, Henry Wyatt, G H A Beard, John Holbrow, Rich^d Martin.
William Fryer of Stroud in the County of Gloucester Gentleman attended on the part of Anthony Scott of N^o 58 Gower Street, Bedford Square in the County of Middlesex Gentleman the sole Executor named in the last Will and Testament of Susannal Scott late of Wallbridge in the County of Gloucester Spinster, deceased bearing Date of the fourth Day of January 1840 and made out the Claim of the said Anthony Scott to four Shares numbered 85, 11, 37 and 38 in the undertaking called the Stroudwater Navigation standing in the name of the said Susannah Scott, deceased by producing the Probate of the said last Will and Testament of the said Susannah Scott under the Seal of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury bearing Date the Sixth Day of April 1840 and the Claim of the said Anthony Scott to the said Shares numbered 85, 11, 37 and 38 was admitted accordingly.
Ordered that a Special Meeting of the Committee be held on Friday the 22^nd Inst to take into consideration the Resolution of the last general Meeting as to the Management of the Navigation and on general Business.
