We understand that the Thames & Severn Canal Co are proposing an amendment by which the tolls would be very largely increased. We hope the Board of Trade will strongly oppose any proposed increase. As our Canal joins the Thames & Severn at Stroud we would be seriously prejudiced if this were adopted.
