[1926 May] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 19^th day of May 1926 @ 3 o'clock pm
Present: Jack Margetson, W R Bloxam, R J C Little, Henry R Hooper, S S Marling, J R Morton Ball, F A Little.
Thames and Severn Canal - Abandonment
It was reported that £97..6..0 was standing to the credit of the Thames and Severn special account.
The outstanding contributions amounted to £301.
It was resolved that £150 be paid to the Gloucestershire County Council towards the upkeep of the Thames and Severn Canal.
M^r Whiting
Mr Bloxam reported that the proceedings (in the County Court) against M"r Z Whiting had been postponed.
West Gloucestershire Power C^o
M^r Bloxam reported that the terms and conditions of the Agreement with the Company had been agreed.
Dock Lock
The extra wages and materials for due completion of the new pair of bottom gates for this lock were sanctioned.
Admiralty - Proposed Automatic Tide Guage at Framilode
An application was put in from the Admiralty for permission to fix an Automatic Tide Guage to Framilode Lock.
The Committee postponed decision until the Inspection Committee had gone into the matter on the spot.
Canal Swing Bridges
Estimates were put in from the Horsley Bridge and Engineering C^o Ltd and discussed.
M^r Vowles attended before the Committee respecting the replacement of the Swing Bridge at their Mills at Stonehouse. After discussion it was decided to obtain & send for M^r Vowles consideration comparative cost of a bridge in wood and in iron.
Cross Bridge at Stonehouse
The Clerk was directed to write to the Stroud Rural District Council to inform them of the bad condition of the road over the Cross Bridge at Stonehouse.
