Summary

Mr Norman Anglin asked for Company’s charges for mooring house boat for winter. Clerk to inform him of tolls. Mooring at place selected by surveyor at own risk and undertaking not to interfere with any traffic on canal.

[1929 October] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 17^th day of October 1929 @ 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, H R Hooper, R J C Little, Gd Evans, J R Morton Ball.
The Memorandum of the proceedings at the Meetings held on 25^th July 1929 and on the 18^th September were read and confirmed.
Thames & Severn Canal
It was reported that: 1 No further letter had been received from the Clerk of the County Council.
2 In accordance with the Minute of last Meeting the Circular letter had been sent out to the Public Bodies and Traders.
The Clerk was instructed to apply for the Contributions towards the upkeep of the Canal for the year ending March 25^th next.
Stroud Gas C^o
It was authorized that the Seal of the Company be affixed to the grant with the Gas C^o re easement at Dudbridge Bridge to complete the Agreement to which the Gas Company had attached its Seal.
Weigh Bridge at Dudbridge
It was reported the repairs of this bridge had been carried out by M^r Turrier and the Account of £6..15..0 had been paid. It was noted that the bridge had been passed by the Inspector.
Framilode Lock
The Balance pole had been obtained and fixed.
Weigh Bridge at Wallbridge
With regard to the sale of this bridge to M^r W Say @ £2..- per ton the Clerk was directed to enquire whether Mr Dilloway of Gloucester would purchase at a better price.
Eastington Park
It was reported that the tall poplar tree which had fallen across the Canal at Eastington Park had been removed.
Wharf House at Dudbridge
Mr Hopson's estimate of $6..17..6 for outside painting, etc, was accepted.
A letter was put in from M^r Norman Anglin asking for the Companys charges for mooring his house boat in the Canal for the winter. The Clerk was instructed to inform him of the tolls and that the Company would allow him to moor his boat at a place to be selected by the Surveyor, at his risk and undertaking not to interfere with any traffic on the waterway of the Canal.

It was decided to revert to the third Wednesday but @ 4 o'clock.
