Mr Fallows reports that last week you fixed your barge to the handrail of the top gate at Westfield lock contrary to the law, despite repeated advice. Committee imposes a 10s fine to be paid within seven days or full penalty of £2 will be enforced by summons.
A resolution passed at yesterday's board meeting requires that in future, in view of the inconvenience caused by non-payment of your account, it should be paid monthly.
You were undercharged £1.6.0 in last quarter's bill for coal delivered to Stafford's Mill but only charged to Dudbridge. Please pay as early as you can and bring any further inaccurate charges to my notice.
We are not empowered by the Act to charge for vessels lying in the canal but we can give notice for their removal by a given date on penalty of a charge. Mr Kearsey is ill and unlikely to attend to business so I think the matter had better drop.

If available, my Company would like use of your steam dredger for about two months. Please advise cost of same, you providing driver and our Company all stores and coal. You could deliver her to Stourport or Worcester and I could send for her. Request early reply.
If we hire your dredger, can you send a competent man to drive and take charge of the engine with her.
Please inform me where your steam dredger is at work
Please come to take the measurement for the new strut for the Wallbridge crane, as the work is to be done at once.
Cheque value £10.8.0 is enclosed for your salary to 24th of this month. Please send receipt.
Committee thanks you for your letter. As they have no experience of steam dredging, would prefer you to set the charge. If it is easier we will find stores and coal and only hire man and boat and would pay all expenses from Stourport to Stroud and back.
Re your request for a reduction in tonnages, my Committee feels this would require consideration and that at present they cannot make a reduction.
We are considering installing a weighbridge at our Eastington wharf large enough for a cart 4 ft x 5ft 6" and would require you to fix it all complete. Please send a man to look at the place. The nearest station is Stonehouse on the Midland Railway"
Please call tomorrow re work to be done at one of our cottages at Downfield and the alterations at Eastington Cottage
Boundary Wall Wallbridge. Mr Little will inspect the deeds to clarify ownership. The wall is in a dangerous state well supported with props but they are over the path to the garden.
Share certificate No. 134 was sent from Kearsey & Co to Messrs J & H Livett, Solicitors, Bristol on 10th August 1874.
Please enter Price & Co's bill for Baltic fir, enclosed. The bricklayer working here leaves at 5.00pm - is that correct? Please get Stonehouse wharfage from Mr Critchley as soon after 24th as you can, also the poor rates from the tenants at Framilode.
Please estimate for the Bridge and fixing only. Excavating can be done by the Company and we have men and materials to construct the brickwork and frame under the direction of your man.
Please proceed with the work at Eastington Canal yard on the terms submitted yesterday. Inform me of date so that I can have men and materials ready.
Respecting the tonnage charges above Butler's bridge, please refer to the resolution sent to you 26 Apr 1864 and your reply 09 May 1864.
After trouble with Mr Stephen's tonnage payments, in future he will pay monthly. I will deal with his tickets as I do with Mr Field's and give empty passes down and you can send any you have returned along with Mr Field's.
In Nov 1848 Share No. 56 was transferred to Miss Mary Salt. Are you the person holding the share and is it Miss or Mrs Mary Salt.
The wall at my house is in a dangerous state and I dare not move the props. Mr Little has written to Mr Biddell: nothing can be done until ownership of the wall is determined. Neither I nor the other tenants complain of the props. Please bring the key of the seal box next Thursday
Please make tickets out to Port Mill or Butlers Bridge Wharf and not just to Brimscombe.
Re: Division of tolls on coal between Stroud and Brimscombe. I enclose a copy of my Committee's resolution on this matter
A few days after receiving your letter, the Sharpness Dock Co offered us the use of their steam dredger and as it is much closer to Stroud than yours the committee have accepted it. Thanks for your kindness and trouble.
You can send the timber I saw on these conditions: the big tree at 2s 9d per ft, and the other at 2s 6d per ft, cheque to be drawn for payment on 29th Oct next. If the small tree does not open [illegible] make an allowance.
In reply to yours of 21st, the statement made by Maslin to you is not true.
